On 26 June 2018, the Environment Agency reopened its definition of waste service and published guidance on how to use the service. There is now an initial review fee of £750 when you submit a request for a definition of waste opinion, which is equivalent to six hours work at £125 an hour. The EA will then provide a cost estimate of further work needed to complete a full technical and legal assessment.
